Community-minded city dweller would like to open up his home to folks from communities for space sharing. Trade time in your place for time in mine. If you would like to spend some time on Piedmont Ave in Oakland, California, it is a sunny 900 square foot 1920’s 1 bedroom 2nd floor flat with decent kitchen and full bath. We are looking to co-create or join a sustainable community/homestead. We offer professional level skills in electrical, plumbing, alternative energy and child education. We also are skilled in gardening, nutrition, cooking, food preparation, preserving, alternative fuels, mechanics, pottery, art, and science. We currently have a contracting business (www.hvss.us). My wife was a teacher for 10 years and holds degrees in elementary, science and art education. We studied earth sheltered, earth roofs, and cordwood construction and would love to build a earth shelter. Our interests are in family, happiness, sustainability, back to the land, spiritual growth, community and to some extent survival. We tend to be very creative and innovative. We utilize technology as much as needed but would like to improve our knowledge and skill in hand tools and foraging. Health, quality of life, good water, and real food are important to us. Homemade bread and music. We have some cash, tools and equipment. We are looking for like minded families/individuals/communities to share and celebrate our time on this living planet. Currently we are a family of six. Mom (35), dad (39), 3 boys (17 m , 7, 16) and grandma (64). We are all healthy. Drug, alcohol, smoke, drama free.
